silent protest: a work in progress

This current project, Silent Protest, is something I’ve only recently begun developing — not just creatively, but personally. For a long time, I wasn’t making any work. Life threw some difficult things my way, and those experiences took a serious toll on my mental health and wellbeing. The silence wasn’t just in the art — it was in me, too.

Silent Protest is, in many ways, about that silence. It explores the quiet ways we resist, endure, and slowly begin to re-emerge. The work is still in progress, and so am I. I’m taking it one step at a time, creating at my own pace, without pressure — just a gentle return to making, expressing, and processing.

This project isn’t polished or finished, and I’m not rushing it. It’s raw, honest, and slow. It’s a reflection of healing, and of reclaiming space after feeling lost in it.

Thank you to everyone who’s offered support during the quiet. I’m learning that sometimes, just beginning again is a protest in itself.
