I was part of a group of students, who were studying the B.A course in Creative Media and Visual Communication @UCEMcr.

We were commissioned to design and develop 13 trophies and 200 pin badges for the LTE Group’s “Outstanding Achievement Awards” (OA Awards) 2019.

This builds on the successes of 2018’s designs.

Students were given the design brief as part of their summer work and in semester 1, had 3 weeks to problem solve and construct the final awards.

The Client

​The Outstanding Achievement Awards are awarded to staff in the LTE group. This is an umbrella education organisation coordinating The Manchester College, UCENMcr, Novus, Total People and MOL.

The LTE Group is the first integrated education and skills grouping of its kind.
One of the only learning, training and employment organisations with such scale, scope and strength. 

The largest social enterprise of its kind, they became the LTE Group to support and empower the associated education providers, now and in the future. They listen to the needs of the sectors they serve; to the learners and stakeholders, becoming a truly unique organisation.

The LTE Group reflects the combined stength of six leading organisations, with the support, expertise and power of a wider group infrastructure, working together for the benefit of learners, employers and wider communities.

WINNING DESIGNS

Students were asked to submit 4 designs sheets minimum.
These went to a public staff vote. 1 trophy design and 1 pin badge design were selected.
