Weaving has always captivated me—the rhythmic motion of the loom, the interplay of threads, and the satisfaction of watching a pattern come to life. I’ve long dreamt of creating a cosy throw, something tangible that embodies creativity and warmth. Unfortunately, a health condition makes it difficult for me to take on the physical demands of weaving.
Still, my fascination with this timeless craft remains strong. Writing about weaving gives me a way to stay connected to its beauty and significance. I love exploring how weaving is not just an art form but also a sustainable practice, with its potential to use natural fibres, repurpose materials, and honour traditions passed down through generations. Even if I can’t weave myself, I take immense joy in learning about it, celebrating its artistry, and imagining the possibilities that each thread holds.
